Subject and aggregate benchmark
Students are expected to secure 45% in each subject and in aggregate. Failure in English, Mathematics and Science results in non-promotion.

HPGS Middle Years covers Classes VI–VIII, followed by the Matric stage in Classes IX–X.
02What are the published Class VI–X timings?
The published schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 1:35 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The latest official campus notice takes precedence.
03What are the published Matric-stream promotion benchmarks?
For Classes I–VIII, the published guidance is 45% in each subject and in aggregate. Class IX Science guidance is 60% in English, Mathematics and Science and 45% in other subjects.
04Can a student move to O-Level from Middle Years?
The published guidance for movement from Classes VI, VII or VIII into O-Level is 65% in each subject, subject to current school review.
