Brief About HPGS O Level Stream
HPGS has crossed all the benchmarks in order to grow and prosper academically and professionally. At HPGS O Levels, we cater to the preparatory classes of Ordinary Levels (O Levels), following the pattern and techniques of CIE for the Grades Prep I(Class VI) to Prep III (Class VIII) as well as senior classes of Grades Sr I (Class IX) to Sr III (Class XI). We have students aged from11 years to 16 years.

The students at HPGS O Levels are trained through versatile and professional teachers. As an O Level student they undergo through many experiences, as we offer many exiting academic and co-curricular activities to our students. We encourage them to take advantage of all that HPGS has to offer, in order to accept the many challenges they will have to face in their future endeavors. Students are also motivated to take up responsibilities and leadership to increase their confidence.

We hope that with clear expectations, a strong instructional program, and support from the family and teachers the students will be capable to be good citizen and the strength of tomorrows Pakistan.

What is Ordinary Levels (O Levels)?
• Cambridge O Level, typically for 14-16 year olds. Cambridge O Level is an internationally recognized qualification which provides learners with excellent preparation for academic progression.
• Cambridge O Levels have been designed especially for an international market. These qualifications are designed for learners whose first language may not be English and this is acknowledged throughout examination process.
• The curriculum develops learner’s skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving and is structured so that learners attain both practical’s skills and theoretical knowledge.

The most recent change in the grading system is that numeric grading has been replaced by alphabetic grades.
A* is 90% and above
A is 80% and above
B is 70% and above
C is 60% and above
D is 50% and above
E is just passed

• Assessments are taken twice an year i.e. in May/June and October/ November Results are announced in August and January respectively.
• All Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) papers throughout the world come from University Of Cambridge.
• Registration is completed 4 months before the commencement of examinations.
• Time table for CIE examinations are posted on the CIE official website in the beginning of the session.

O level course is divided into a three year study program. Students are required to choose minimum 9 subjects out of which 5 subjects are compulsory, namely:
• English
• Urdu
• Pakistan Studies
• Islamiat
• Mathematics

• Enhancement of creative skills
• Personality grooming
• Improvement in conversational skills
• A broader horizon and a promising future.
